Respnse to Obama's Speech

I completely agree with Obama's speech to the students. As 12 year-old Mileena Rodriguez stated, "We're the future."(Yahoo) Many students don't realize that this is true. Obama reminded the students to work work throughout his speech. "There is no excuse for not trying." (CNN) Obama grew up in Indonesia, home-schooled by his mother early in the mornings. Karen Miller believes, "The message he gave to the children was so appropriate, that you shape your destiny no matter the hand you're dealt." (Yahoo) Other citizens did not agree with Obama's speech. "Obama's speech could disrupt an already-hectic first day of school for many students." (CNN) stated by Minnesota Governor, Tim Paulenty. I disagree with this statement as the speech was intended to encourage young students to do the best that they could. The speech was meant to get students to try as hard as they could, not to cause any harm.
